SKYWATCHER CODE OF CONDUCT
As a member of Spann’s Skywatchers, you carry a unique responsibility. You are not only representing your community — you are also upholding the standards of the Alabama Weather Network. Our mission is rooted in trust, accuracy, and public service, and we expect every Skywatcher to reflect those values in their words and actions. Ethics, respect, and responsibility aren’t just principles — they are the foundation of how we operate.
Skywatchers are expected to report weather conditions truthfully, act with professionalism online and offline, and avoid political or controversial commentary. We do not allow sarcasm, personal attacks, or speculation. This is a space for calm, constructive communication focused solely on weather and public safety. Members are also urged to protect privacy, never risk personal safety for a report, and always think before posting — especially during emotionally charged or emergency situations.
Violating the Skywatcher Code of Conduct may result in removal from the program. Our credibility depends on the behavior of our team, and each member plays a role in upholding the trust placed in us by the public. When you act with integrity, show respect, and promote safety, you help make Spann’s Skywatchers a dependable force for good in Alabama’s most critical moments.
